You.

I know that you're there. Watching me. Following me. You cannot stop, like me. You are obsessed with the power that I've found. You want it. You covet it.

I understand this, and I feel for you.
If you stop now, hunting dog, I promise that when I am finished, I will pass what I've learned to you. You will have the power that you seek. Just leave me alone for now, I must travel this path by myself.

Did you know? Daleen was not at her house when I called. Instead, her precious apprentice answered. She regrets that now. Daleen will see that it was a mistake to choose Aerin over me. She screamed so deliciously when I tore her spirit from her body. That made me happy. For a little bit at least.
I see things differently now. You will too when the time comes. Just stop following me.
My leg pains me. I've almost lost control of my right arm. Some of the flesh has fallen off it, and it festers. I can't feel it though. I think it should hurt, but it doesn't. I wonder if my skin is like a caterpillar's. I'm sure that underneath there is some beautiful creature waiting to emerge. Maybe I should help it along? What do you think?

You can tell me when we see each other. At the end. After I am done. Just stop following me.

Look up at the sky next time you are in Norrath. She looks on you favorably. You should follow him. We want to meet you.
Do you know where I am going next? I will give you a hint. Bodies are simply an obstacle, a wall between being and spirit. I can go to the source, and take the spirit as it is. The trauma of pulling a soul from a body taints the spirit. It cannot forget, and so the power of the construct is diluted. A pure being, already beyond the barrier of Ethernere should provide a much more stable source, and should be far easier to channel than a corporeal being.

I will be testing this shortly.

Do not follow me. Until the end. Find me then, dear apprentice.

Best,

Ryizz'Eianshieoll

You followed me again. I told you not to. You must be patient. Wait. That is the first lesson you must learn, as my apprentice. I cannot be worried about you while I indulge in my research. I must not be bothered.

Did you see it? I made a mistake. My first one. The souls of the dead were indeed much easier, but I pushed too far. The Everling woman, she had something shielding her. The feedback was incredible.
I saw Luclin in the brightness.

But yes, I have my answers. The souls of the dead are purer things. Remember that. But they are not more powerful. Disappointment on that part.

I have honed my skills beyond any channeler here on Norrath. Even Daleen.
At this point I can tell that the humanoid races are all functionally equivalent. Far more powerful than animals, but nothing that cannot be overcome. It is my duty to pursue this path as far as I can go.

The caterpillar continues its transformation. I can see the muscle, free from the confines of skin. It is pulsing with power. I can touch the exposed tissue, and it is like iron. Channeling these souls through my body must be strengthening it. The process is strange though, like it is happening to a body that isn't mine. The flesh from my leg is sloughing similar to my arm. It should hurt, but instead I feel nothing. Isn't that odd? Soon it will be as strong as this arm.
We look forward to meeting you. You will know when the time is.

What now, you ask? You should know. As my apprentice you need to think about these things. I am disappointed that you have to ask. I expect more from you. But I will tell you anyway. Having mastered the humanoid spirit, what comes next?

The dragon comes next.
I will need a frightening amount of mana to accomplish this, however. That is a problem that I must solve first. I am not sure where the answer lies yet, but I'm sure the dragons have secrets that they haven't shared with us.

I'm curious to hear how they scream.

Best,

Ryizz
